On June 28, 2019 the Arte Escondido Project held the first "Celebrate West Central Rt. 66 Street Light Banner Project Pop-Up Art Exhibit and Car Show" featuring artwork by 15 artists. The evening included a car show featuring the La Familia Car Club and other community members, poetry by Manuel Gonzalez and his daughter Sartia Gonzalez, music, food, and arts-n-craft vendors. The evening provided the opportunity to celebrate art and artists on West Central.
